In 1900, George C. Boldt began construction of this beautiful castle on Heart Island for his beloved wife Louise.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Boldt passed away just months before the completion of the castle. Heartbroken; Mr. Boldt stopped construction of the castle leaving it vacant for over seventy years.
